The subjects taught in our school are similar to those taught in schools all over America today. However, the heart of our curriculum is the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
As Christ loved us and died for us, so we also strive to reflect his love in all our education. Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God: Romans 3:23, we must first of all deal with children as persons whose greatest need is for a Savior. Thus each child is taught that he/she is redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.
While we use many secular textbooks as used by public schools, we do not consider any subject simply secular. Every subject deals with a part of God's creation and calls the child to behold the wonderful works of God. The curriculum and texts used are determined by the Board of Christian Education and the faculty of the school. The achievement norms of our pupils are consistently higher than standard in each basic skill area such as reading, language, math, science, social studies and work study skills. Pupils at Christ the Lord Lutheran School do receive a superior academic as well as spiritual training and any pupil having satisfactorily completed the course of study at Christ the Lord will be prepared to continue his/her education and be readily accepted at any high school. History has shown that graduates of Christ the Lord have excelled in high school, a high percentage of them making the honor roll.
